How to recognize a stroke: Neurologist say the sooner they can get to a person that is having a stroke, the better the chance they have to reverse the effects of it.
Symptoms can be difficult to recognize and can cause severe brain damage. You can ask four simple questions: 1) Ask the person to SMILE. 2) Ask the person to TALK and speak a simple sentence coherently.(for example-"It is sunny out today.) 3) Ask to RAISE both arms. 4) Ask the person to stick out their tongue and see if it is crooked or goes to one side.
