In my opinion, the best of the health drinks is filtered, purified Water and here is why...
Water

* I drink water when I get up from sleeping. The body has been without water for some time and has been busy making repairs, it is dehydrated
* To measure the amount of water to drink by your size, take your weight and divide it by 2, the answer is how many ounces of water to drink a day.Example: 160 pounds ÷ 2 = 80 ounces a day
* I do not drink my water really cold
* A pinch of salt added to the water will help keep electrolytes in balance
* I do not like drinking tap water. I use filtered water by reverse osmosis or carbon filters. Lemon or other citruses are helpful for purification. I use a container that is made out of safe material and I can refill, so I don’t have to recycle or add to the landfill.

- Polyvinyl chloride(V or PVC): Material - di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) known as a human carcinogen. Products: most cling-wrapped meats, cheeses, grocery and deli wraps
OK - Polypropylene(PP): Hazardous during production not as widely recycled. Products: ketchup bottles, yogurt and margarine tubs
- Low-density polyethylene(LDPE): Not as widely recycled. Products: some bread and frozen food bags and squeezable bottles
Good - Polyethylene terephthalate(PET or PETE): Products: health drinks, soft drinks, water, sports drink, ketchup and salad dressing bottles, peanut butter, pickle, jelly and jam jars
- High density polyethylene(HDPE):Products: milk, water, juice bottles, yogurt and margarine tubs, cereal box liners and grocery, trash and retail bags

The other beverages that I consume when I am not drinking water: Occasionally - Fresh squeezed lemonade, lemons are good healthy drink for cleansing
- Drinks with high concentrations of antioxidants; A glass of red wine. If I don’t want the alcohol, I look for the healthiest pure cranberry, red or purple grape juice that I can find. They work as well, maybe better, than red wine. In this case, fresh grapes do not have as high a concentration of antioxidants as processed grape juice or wine
- Black, green or white tea (all the same just different stages of the process, white is the best, an then green) is rich in catechin polyphenols,particularly epigallocatechin gallate. They may be more beneficial than wine for reducing heart disease, cancer and other diseases. Two cups of tea have an equivalent antioxidant as 2 glasses of purple grape juice, one glass of red wine, 12 glasses of white wine, 7 glasses of orange juice, 12 glasses of beer, or 20 glasses of apple juice.
I enjoy my green tea and drink it every day. I wasn’t sure the first time I drank it, the taste was very different. I would add honey to it, gradually used less honey and then reached the point that I liked it better without the honey. A few of the benefits of green tea; reduces the risk of cancers, helpful with rheumatoid arthritis, high cholesterol levels, infection, cardiovascular disease, headaches, depression, immune function, burns fat, destroys bacteria – example- plaque and tooth decay. Read the labels, health drinks that are manufactured can be loaded with sugar, HFS or artificial sweeteners.
When I am working out, gardening, sweating a lot, USANA Health Sciences Rev3 Energy Drink is the only energy health drink that I will have. I like to have USANA Health Sciences shakes or Smoothie King’s smoothies for a meal a few times a week. These are the only two I buy because a lot of them are too sugary, high in calories and artificial.
I purchase Aloe Vera Gel that you can drink from Nature's Sunshine, I can be sure I am getting enough of the pure aloe vera gel. It is naturally high in water so it would be easy to get mostly water if it is not properly processed. I drink 2 to 4 ounces a day of this health drink to receive all of its benefits.
